Select input Midi Channel via Pads

Hi,

I was wondering how I can switch input Midi Channel using a Midi Pad device.
To better understand what I want to do, check this video on Youtube at 6:09 ( In The Studio With Frederik Wiedmann (Scoring Netflix’s The Dragon Prince). Unfortunately seems I can’t link the video directly.

He is using in this case the Korg NanoPad. How should I set it? At the moment I’m switching channel using the output midi selection directly on my keyboard, but I find the Wiedmann’s method definitely more quickly.

Which parameter should the nanopad trigger on Cubase?

I believe this video explains it all (even though there is other DAW in use; the trick is done in NI Kontakt).
