Select MIDI chunk in Dorico and copy it into Cubase

I would like to drag a chunk of MIDI in Dorico and drop it into cubase. I think it’s possible, but I don’t know how. I try to click on the MIDI of Dorico, but nothing happens.

I’ve been able to drag from Cubase to Dorico, but for me it’s not useful.
I’m in Dorico 5 and Cubase 12.

My idea is: write my draft in Dorico and, when I think a part is ready to being midi-orchestrated, drag it to Cubase and start programming the midi in there.

Have you tried dragging from the Key Editor (bottom panel showing the MIDI stuff, not the properties…)

I’m afraid you can’t drag and drop in the other direction: you can only drag MIDI data into Dorico. This is something we want to enable in future.

Oh, :frowning: Well, I’ll be waiting for it until it’s ready.

I’m always looking for ways to introduce Dorico in the workflow of music production (besides the “Alan Silvestri” way) because I’m much more confortable writing music in notation than in Cubase, but I don’t want to lose the audio capabilities a DAW has.

In any case, thanks for the answer
