Select pointer in note editing has a clock icon and acts weird

Hi everyone,

Long time cubase user here, and upgraded to version 10 a few days ago.
I’ve got an issue though - maybe because I’ve hit some weird button combination and changed a setting by accident somewhere.

My problem is that my pointer has changed whenever I go into a MIDI or Instrument track and want to move / adjust notes.
The pointer no longer is just a normal arrow. But it is a small arrow with a clock above it.
Instead of just being able to move notes around, it now copies notes and creates multiple ones instead.

Any ideas?

Hi and welcome,

Click to the Object Selection Tool (arrow) in the tool bar menu and select Normal Sizing here. I would say Sizing Apply Time Stretch is selected on your system.

Helped me too, thanks! I had the same thing on my laptop. It was annoying. I must have inadvertently changed it to that Time Stretch function while using the touch pad on my laptop. So easy to accidentally select something when using touchpad on laptop.
