Hi, may be I overlooked it: but how can I select a specific song with a Midi Program Change? If I change the song on the master keyboard I would like to sync to the corresponding VST Live song. Thanks for your feedback in advance!
Hi! do you change the song with up / down keys? or you dial them directly by number (12th song)?
Have a look at Actions and Shortcuts in the Devices menu. In the Project tab you can set MIDI messages for a number of things including “Select Song”
If I use the up/down keys VST Live has to be the front application. That is the reason why i would like to use a Midi message which would be independent from which application is at front.
Is it possible to select a specific song with “select song” and specific Midi Program Change, so for example Midi Program Change 85 activates song 7 in VST Live? If yes, would you please describe it a little because I cannot find any information about it? Thanks!
No, PC 1 will call song 1, PC 2 Song 2 and so on. There is no matrix, you can’t freely associate a PC number to a Song.
What @Jihem said but there’s no reason you couldn’t put something like midiox into the midi stream and reprogram the messages sent from your master keyboard. Doesn’t your keyboard have the ability to send different program change messages?

Thanks a lot for your quick help! I can use this functionality and will re-arrange my programs and banks for the live situation in order to use programs 1, 2, …x corresponding to song 1, 2, …x. Unfortunately my keyboard has no re-assigment matrix. I use the Nord Stage 1 EX. I checked with the Midi monitor that it sends 1, 2, … for the soundsets 1, 2, … I can work with this solution. I will also check out your recommendation with an additional tool with the possibility for a re-assignment. Thanks to all!

I mean on your MIDI CC (keyboard buttons, etc…). So again VL will accept “next song”, “Play”, etc… via received MIDI CC’s
Also you can “dial directly” a Song No. with CC. Please note there is an offset, so if your certain MIDI CC sends lowest e.g. value of 32…33…34…35+, but you’re going to fire song 1…2…3…4+… you can “offset” numbers avoid to load Song No.32…33… but 1…2…3… Does this make sense?
