Selected channel clipping when put in group channel

Hey guys,

I don’t know what I am doing wrong…

I have a kickdrum on a selected channel. Perfectly on 0dB, no clipping and sounding good.

But if i select that channel and put it trough a group channel the problems starting.
The selected channel is clipping and the audio sounds awful. The group channel is also on 0 dB with no further inserts…

What is causing this?

The kick comes from Serum? That would be a stereo channel.
Your group is a mono channel. What happens is that the left and right channel from Serum get summed to a mono signal, thus the increased peak level.

Thanks for your answer, that’s explains it! My groups channels were made in mono (i dont know why haha).
