Selected track black?

Is there anyway to change the selected track to slightly transparent or slight color change instead of it turning black?
In Ableton it turns a whiteish color which I like the look of better than black

Hi,

No, sorry, this is not possible. In Nuendo the selected Event/Part (you are talking about, not the track) gets only red frame around.

It would be nice if we could turn the color

Hi,

Add the feature-request tag, please.

So I ruined this for myself by going to Nuendo? Please add the black feature in Nuendo. With most colours, the red outline is so thin, I can not at ALL see what events are selected. They don’t want the black, I desperately want it. Can I crossgrade to Cubase? If not I will just sell it, as this has destroyed all the workflow., I have been going nuts trying to fix it. And with red clips, which I use for vocals, you can not see if it’s selected at all, not even a little. With orange and yellow it’s still really bad.

Go to Preferences → Event Display…
and look for the option

Thanks for this and for being human about it Johnny. I actually went through the preferences 5 times from top to bottom and just couldn’t find it, and I was abused in the other topic. I am amazed how much it’s already transformed the app for me. A huge thank you.

Now all we need is a decent gain envelope, and that will be it (and yes I am sure of that one because I have watched the latest official steinberg tutorials on it too, the feature simply isn’t there). What I want is like with fader automation where you can just select and drag a section of an event then immediately the points are created for you and you can just move it up and down, but for even/clip gain, as fader automation is not the same thing as levelling out the source. The pencil tool is painful and doesn’t belong in a thousand dollar app like Nuendo let alone Cubase.

Also I think we need 3rd party midi fx, even pro tools has those now.

Now I need some help with ARA so I best find a topic as I searched youtube to no avail, even with Cubase. Just trying to find a way to remove ARA from a clip, in pro tools it’s so easy.
