Selecting a specific Paragraph Style for text via key command or Keyboard Maestro shortcut

Has anyone out there figured out an easier way to select a specific Paragraph Style AFTER hitting Shift-X? Specifically the dropdown “Default Text” menu next to the font size in the dialogue box that pops up? Just curious if we can save a step or two here. Maybe a key command I can’t find or a Keyboard Maestro macro I could create? Thanks!

Hi @James_Sampliner, right click your created text > Text > Change Paragraph Style:

If you need a particular style, it might be quicker to alt-click copy an earlier example and just change the text.

You can also set a key command to invoke a specific paragraph style when entering either text or system text. It’s in the key commands, note input, create text section of the program preferences.

Thanks so much…exactly what I was looking for!

Note that in order to set a key command for a custom paragraph style, the style has to be saved as a user default.
