Selecting multiple adjacent cycle markers, defines cycle point extremeties

I recently created some cycle markers, and I tried to select multiple adjacent cycle markers instead of creating yet another marker, but it does not work.

I have standalone markers, on one marker track and cycle markers on another marker track but I don’t like the idea of having to stack markers on the same track, to attain what I believe I should be able to have, using individual cycle markers that are adjacent to one another.

Can it be made so?

If so, that would be excellent.

To add, it would also be good to be able to double click in the blank area of a marker track, that is between the left and right locators, thereby creating a cycle marker.

Also, Cycle Markers should be able to have their time periods extended, for example to include an anacrusis by negating an additional marker.
