I have a hardware channel strip that I’d like to use as an FX Insert in Cubase 8.5, but as soon as I adjust it to an External FX channel, it gets erased as an Audio Input. How do I make it so that it can be both?
More detail on this: My channel strip has a preamp on the left and a compressor on the right. I can run a line into the compressor and back out of the compressor, so I can use it as an external effect for mixing. Then I can also run an audio signal into the preamp, and send it through the compressor, and out through the compressor’s output.
