Set note velocity from MIDI step-input

Would it be possible to have an option to use the velocity data when inputting notes with a MIDI keyboard?

Or an even wilder request, in addition to the previous idea, is to set thresholds for various articulations during note input - e.g. any note over played with a velocity over a certain amount gets an accent, and anything shorter than a certain number of milliseconds gets a staccato dot, or long notes get a tenuto, or short AND loud gets a marcato articulation. Just an idea :slight_smile:

If you input via real-time recording, the velocity information is of course already recorded, so that’s something to consider.

But yes, this is something we might do in future.
