do these two functions work for anybody?
I’ve assigned a shortcut to it, but I can’t get it to work. I was expecting to have multiple plugins opened and cycle trough them so I can control those plugins with remote control, without touching the mouse.
I haven’t tested these commands. But my understanding is, this will switch the Focus of the Focus Quick Controls to the Previous/Next plug-in. It doesn’t mean the GUI of the Previous/Next plug-in appears.
I found the right command “Select Next Plug-in Window” which cycles through all the plugin (VSTi and VST) GUI loaded on screen, shifting the focus of QC, exactly what I was looking for.
Cubase has ‘focus quick controls’, which Martin said should work with the method of changing the focus plug-in in VST instruments rack.
This does not work as intended.
The answer you marked as Solved is a workaround and presents a new method, which does not explain why changing the focus in VST Instruments does nothing.
With the ‘next window’ method, you have to open all the plugin GUIs. With the VST Instruments focus, the benefit is you should not have to open any plugin GUI windows. But alas, it does not work.
But the fact is that changing the focus in the VST Instruments rack window does nothing for the operation of Focused Quick Control. Doesn’t seem right.
Um…why is there no ‘Select Previous’? I dont normally have a lot but occasionally can have 8 if I have to use some fixers early iin the chain. Would be nice to, like practically every other function, have a previous.
Also, after reading the posts…I still dont understand the Set remoe functions.
To make automation of UI WAY easier, please add API handles to window/widgets so we can use eg AHK to drive this without Steinberg having to
