We all know that every millimetre matters in a busy orchestral score. So, what about implementing an option to show the numerical staff labels of condensed instrument parts below the instrument/player’s name (see image) to save just a bit of horizontal space? This could be also a stylistic choice - quite a few editors have gone for it.

Yes, this has been requested before and is something we would like to implement in future. I can’t say when we will get to it, though!
