It’s a bit more clumsy, since I need to switch to Keyboard, but much better than using the info bar. On WindowsPC I was used to set up a clip gain via wheel immediately after dragging the sound file onto timeline, so to say on the very same mouse movement. No idea why this is so different on MacOS.
