Setting a constant rhythmic scheme for note input

I need to input a few dozen bars where each beat contains exactly the same structure: dotted eighth + sixteenth. I’m only using the laptop keyboard for input. Is there a way to set the durations beforehand so I’d only be typing the pitches and not things like “5 . d 4 e 5 . f 4 g 5. a 4 g” etc?

Windows 10, Dorico 5.1.40.2138.

Input one beat with the correct rhythm. Select it, copy.
(you can also press r several times)
Select the first rest and then the rest in the last measure you need, paste.
Now active input with shift-N, press L for Lock duration. Enter your pitches.

Thank you so much

An alternative to using Lock Duration, since this is a simple dotted rhythm, you can enter the whole passage as 8ths, then select the whole passage and hit . (‘dot’)
