Setting limited fret range for guitar tabs

Hi everyone,
is there a way to restrict tablature fret range in Dorico for iPad?
I need to write a TAB for my school pupils who are beginners so I don’t want they to move over fifth fret…
Comin from Sibelius I remember there was this option but I’m not finding a way in Dorico…
Thank you,
Art

There’s no built-in feature for this in Dorico, Art. It’s something we may add in future, but it doesn’t exist today.

I wrote this part with the actual highest notes one octave lower, then I transposed them up so to obtain an alternative fingering but tab remained the same (and if I go to modify the “edit strings and tuning dialog” restrincting frets to five Dorico seems not to recognize notes…)

Thank you very much, Daniel,
we wrote at the same moment… :slightly_smiling_face:
I guess I’m not the only one who would appreciate this feature…
I forgot the screenshot in the previous post so I put it here…
How can I obtain the correct tab? I saw I can move individual notes from one string to another but is there a “batch” way to do this? (hope I explained myself correctly…)

Best,
Art

Just select the notes in tab you want to change and hit N or M…

Thank you @YourMusic.Pro,
I’d read about those key commands but I was on an iPad without an external keyboard and I couldn’t use them but eventually I discovered the “Notes and Rests” tab in the lower zone and I could assign the right strings.

I think there’s something wrong (or that I don’t understand), anyway, as in the manual is stated that Dorico automatically assign the lower position possible to a note but in my case this didn’t happen and after moving the lower F in the triad at the upper octave a very higher fret was assigned on the same string instead of the logical fret one on the 1st string…

Best,
