Setting multiple midi tracks to same input or output?

I thought in C3 SX I once knew how to select multiple midi tracks and with some key command combination set them all to the same input or output when first selecting all the tracks and then selecting input or output from the drop down menu in one track … useful for multitimbral VSTi or GM.

Tried a bunch of the usual suspects Alt or Cntrl plus Shift, etc., etc., … but haven’t been able to resurrect this action.

Is this possible or was I just remembering an old dream?

Select the tracks, then Shift+Alt while choosing the Input/Output.
