Setting up MIDI pad controller with Cubasis

Hi all
Bit of a MIDI newbie
Have been using Cubasis a couple of months now and having a lot of fun with the program

I want to use an Akai LPD8 controller to play some drum parts but I’m having trouble assigning the pads to the correct midi notes in Cubasis

I’ve used the Akai software to assign each pad to the note number found in microsonic when editing pads but when I plug the controller back into the iPad all pads are triggering the same sound… am I missing something obvious?

Anyone else using the same controller successfully with Cubasis?
