I have been working on Dorico for several years with great satisfaction. But I’m in the process of engraving a piece with a complex and varied percussions part, and I still find very frustrating limitations considering the level of the software.
Lines : impossibility to attach the lines to the noteheads in the percussion’s kits
Silences : great difficulty to make appear the silence in multiple voices.
And, the most unbelievable limitation :
grace note : impossible to link grace notes to different instruments in a percussion kit !
Do I miss any subtleties? I manage to get my way with the first two problems using some tricks, but not the third one, which is very inconvenient.
