I use Cubasis 3 on Ipad 10.2. I would like to share the screen during an online meeting (Zoom or any app for me it’s the same) sharing also the device audio. I use a Focusrite audio interface. As soon as I start an online meeting it shows me this message (I attached the picture). For me would enough to share the screen and the audio from Cubasis, I can use another device to speak with the others in the meeting. What can I do to solve this challenge?
Hi @twozed.beat
Thanks for your message.
There seems to be no way around this technically.
More importantly, what is your use case for some kind of scenario?
Best,
Lars
I would like to share the screen and audio since one of my friends needs to give me some mixing and mastering lessons. We do not libe in the same city
A computer can use Muse to share computer screen+audio. Then open Quicktime Player, create “New Movie Recording” from the File menu, and select iPad for screen/audio. The most solid connection I’ve found.
I just tested this in iPadOS 18.3 with a Zoom Meeting with Screen Share turned on and I could not get any sound from Cubasis, despite Sharing Audio being turned on in Zoom and Background Audio being turned on in Cubasis.
Playing audio from Cubasis with other Audio apps is certainly possible. I regularly play Apple Music and jam along with the songs in Cubasis.
To do that, I turn on Background Audio in Setup, Audio, Background Audio and, if need be, close and re-open the Project in Cubasis.
That shows that the iPad can play two different “internal” audio sources at the same time. I would contact Zoom and see if they can make your scenario work. They might tell you that to ensure a secure streaming connection they have to lock down the audio in their app. That’s just a guess, of course.

Maybe try this on Discord?
