Shift + arrow keys for chord symbols and system track?

I was wondering if there is any way to make the selection behavior the same, as when working with notes, when working with chord symbols and system track? So you can hold shift and extend the selected range with the arrow keys. I really need that feature in my workflow.

Just curious, but why?

Mostly for quicker transskription of leadsheets, in my personal case, but also for overall consistency of the shortcuts and behavior in the program.

Just for clarification, when transcribing leadsheets, i like to do it in real time, listening and writing at the same time, where every little step matters for efficiency.

If your workflow makes a material improvement for other users, I guess it might get on the list. The problem I see is that chord symbols are not like other objects.

I agree it would be helpful to be able to select more chord symbols using Shift+left/right arrow. It’s tricky because chord symbols are normally system-attached (though they can also be staff-attached if they are local), so they need to be selected across all staves on which they appear, etc. But this is something we would like to make possible in future.

I hope it will come soon, it would be incredible, and a very welcomed addition to Dorico’s excellent keyboard-oriented workflow!

The same with system track. Are you considering a shortcut for selecting everything in a bar via system track in the future?

Btw. thank you so much for the reply and you engagement in the forum! Your customer support is exceptional!

The system track is really designed for interaction with the mouse, rather than with the keyboard, though I agree that it would be helpful to have commands to expand the current selection to all staves, either including or excluding system-attached items, in due course.
