It’s still surprising that the ornaments are implemented in writing but that we still can’t hear the sound result after 6 versions. Do we know the reason?

The difference between fermata and ornaments (from the user’s point of view) is that it is way easier to work around the limitations on ornaments (see the workaround with hidden staff which gives a perfect rendition, as long as you know how to write it out explicitly) than around the lack of fermata…

Seems to me it’s much easier to do a workaround for fermatas than for trills. For a fermata, a couple quick changes to existing settings and it’s done.
