Shorter first lines

I’m transcribing traditional music in which the first phrase is short (only 2 bars but repeated) and the second phrase is longer (typically four bars, again, repeated). A convention in this style is to write each phrase on a separate line which means the first line does not extend across the page but perhaps only 2/3rd of the way. Is there a way to do this in Dorico?

This might be a nice thing for the cutaway fuctionality in Dorico 6.

Enter notes in the first 2 measures
Leave measure 3 blank
Enter a system break
Enter a measure number change and set measure 4 to number 3
Cut away the original measure 3 in layout options

The thin barlines in the cutted measure showed here won’t print

You can also do this in Engrave mode by using the Note Spacing tool:

{A31FACFC-E097-4072-8B60-EB08662A1720}

Add a system break before measure 3, then select the square handle in the lower right of the upper system and use the usual key combinations to move it to the left.
