Show bar number on certain bars

I’m really feeling embarrassed for having to ask this, as I already achieved it in a former project but just can’t find again how to do it:

I’ve set the option to display bar numbers to “none”, and now I want to specify at certain bars to show the bar numbers. (And I did this without the use of rehearsal marks: When I add a rehearsal mark in the old project and configure it to show the bar number, it looks different and has totally different options in the bottom panel).

Any idea? I looked through the help page, but could not find a trigger like “Show bar number” for bar lines…

not exactly sure what your context is, but you can do

  • set bar number visibility to every bar
  • select all
  • filter Time Signatures (no, I don’t know why…)
  • In the lower panel you can now hide them all
  • now if you click any particular barline you can show the bar number

or (often quicker) add them as system text with the bar number style
