In Layout Options, if I ‘Show bar numbers: Every system’ but then choose ‘Centered on bar’, the bar numbers disappear entirely. If I have bar numbers in ‘Every Bar’, ‘Centered on Bar’, they show. I thought this was a bit odd, but the behaviour seems to go back to version 4, so I was just wondering why this might be?
It’s odd that they would disappear entirely, I guess. The choice of customisation is non-standard though so perhaps that’s something to do with it.
Are you trying to show a bar number centered on the first bar of every system? Sorry if that sounds obvious.

One would assume that this would be the end result of these selections, based on what the other options give you.
