Show channels fror tracks with data at cursor point

Hi, running 8.0.30 on windows 7 64bit.

I’ve tried on the mixer channel visibility agents to “show channels for tracks with data at cursor point”. Steinberg videos indicate this should update as you play. For me it doesn’t.

When I open my project mixer which by default shows all tracks and then click “show channels for tracks with data at cursor point” while the cursor at the start point it correctly shows the channels that start the track. But as I play there are no additional channels or channels disappearing as you would expect. If I stop the playback and hit It “show channels for tracks with data at cursor point” again it then updates correctly.

It just doesn’t do it while playing back. Am I doing it wrong?

so feedback for Steinberg - you might want to make your videos clearer

at 0.40 it says

“Show channels fror tracks with data at cursor point…so as our project plays we’re only viewing tracks that are relevant at that moment in time”

I actually thought it worked at one point. I was thinking I clicked a checkbox or something that stopped it from working.
