I use a lot of colour coding for good takes, alright takes, needs edit, bad takes, etc.
It’s a bit of a problem that muted MIDI events do not show colour.

I tried the border and the baseline as separate solutions, but because of screen resolution, I thought the combination of them both was the best result.
muted audio events could also adopt this, as the coloured waveform outline isn’t always easy to see.
