Show/Hide Subtracks of selected tracks not working

Hi, I have a recording with 15 subtracks (lanes) - all Audio.

The menu items related to showing and hiding the subtrack shows the volume automation instead of the subtracks.

Some other menu items concerning subtracks also dont seem to work properly.

Anyone?

Hi, @Elien

Which one(s) ? Maybe I am missing something, but I have only the Show Lanes button available in the selected track header (with its definable key command) to display the actual audio lanes of it.

The Show/Hide Automation command is also in the track context menu, but as a separate item, or available as a hidden icon, in the left of the track header, until we hover the mouse pointer over it.

Screenshot(s) could help, because I’m probably not getting the actual issue…

Hi Cubic13 - sorry, I have been a little sloppy with my explanation.

The following happens: I select a track that has multiple lanes (currently NOT visible). I go to the “project” menu and select the menu item for lanes and there the first item that should allow to hide and show lanes of the selected track. (In English it seems to be the “toggle selected track” menu item)

Instead of showing the lanes (making them visible) the volume automation is shown.

Further more the unfold menu item also does NOTHING.

(I dont know how to create a screenshot with selected menu items).

PS: the button in the inspector of the individual tracks that allows to show and hide lanes works as expected.

Oh my God. I found my mistake!!!

The German words were misleading - “Unterspuren” are ment to be the sub-tracks in folder tracks and NOT the “lanes”.

That was just my mistake.

Now I am searching for a way to show all lanes on all tracks - is there a command for that?

No, but you could probably get the same result with a macro that would have these two commands :

- Process Project Logical Editor > Select all Tracks
- Edit > Show Lanes

There is a switch in the channel header.

Yes. thank you, I am aware of that. The crazy thing is that there is no command available to show all lanes on all tracks. The logical editor helps to a degree. I realized that the command is missing for a very long time already. There should be commands to show all lanes with events on them, etc. Definitely an area to improve for Steinberg.
