Show Plugins that support 64bit float? Only Steinberg Plugins

I`m lost.
Almost all my plugins are from Waves and IK Multimedia (T-Racks and Sample tank 4 Max)
Checking the Plugin Manager and tick “Show only Plugins that support 64bit Float”, it only shows the Steinberg plugins. Does this mean that I must not set my projects at 64 bit float?

You can still set the processing precision to 64 bit, it just means that plugins that don’t support 64bit processing will require an additional conversion to 32 bit and back, for each plugin instance. If you use mostly your third party plugins that dont support 64 bit processing, this doesn’t really make sense, and you probably better set the processing precision to 32 bit.
Whether you actually can hear any difference is another topic that I won’t go into because it will usually trigger page long threads on any audio related internet forum…
Note: this has nothing to do with the “Bit Depth” setting in the project settings dialog. This only sets the precision for any recorded or rendered file (64bit is complete overkill here…).

Thank you for your explanation.
On the Plugin manager, I see that IK Mulimedia and Waves plugins are X64 Architecture.
Are we talking about different things?
Only when I tick “Show only Plugins that support 64bit Float”, they do not appear.
