Hi there , I’ve been using the frequency plugin sidechain and when I search in the list of available tracks to sidechain not all the tracks I can see in my project are listed for availability,some are missing ,the tracks missing are just bog standard audio tracks nothing special ,also some group channels are listed but not all . I’ve noticed for years this problem has occured with other just regular plugins like the de esser and compressor. It’s quite annoying,thanks .
I’ve been using the sidechain feature for years and years and never encountered what you describe - UNLESS - where i would expect it to behave this way to avoid feedback routing, which is not possible in Cubase.
Can you describe the routing of an “unavailable track” incl. sends, groups, ect - as well as the bus (i assume) where the sidechain plugin is inserted?
Hi thanks for the reply ,I googled the question and A.I. did mention that it was a safety procedure built in to avoid feedback by routing the path back on it’s self and it also mentioned I could have too many sends active in the sidechain missing track .I sometimes can have a lot of sidechain things happening so it does make sense. I’m not on Cubase at the minute so I can’t describe my routing but thanks for the reply anyway ,I will have a look tomorrow and post on here thanks .
