I posted about this many, many months ago in the Cubase forum and it got a ton of responses and support…but two patches later the problem still exists. All we need is for this behavior that’s been there for as long as I can remember to not get broken by the new “Last Touched” feature. This happens whether “show last touched parameter” is enabled or disabled.
N15. Here you’ll see that when I first click on Select Parameter box, it only shows 5 parameters to choose from. When I Show All Automation for the track you can see that it actually has fifteen parameters. Sometimes the Select Parameter box will show none on top if you haven’t touched any recently, even if you have lots of automation.
What it should be, from N14 and before. When you click on the Select Parameter box, it always shows the whole list of what I have automated, easily and instantly selectable:
I’m sure it got messed up because of the new “show last touched parameter”, which is a great feature…but it can’t be at the cost of not being able to see all the automation we have in the Select Parameter box, as we could before. This is an immensely significant bug for me and many others, and it costs a lot of time. I don’t know what I can do to get Steinberg to un-break this. I’ve reported it by email and got a lot of support on the Cubase forum for it.
