Having been assured that both version 11 and 12 are totally compatible with Montere, I have found that neither will give audible metronome click although the beat is shown in the small meter next to the control.
It works. You might have to activate it in Audio Connections or Control room. Impossible to say, you don’t say which OS or Cubase variation you are using.

Many thanks- the problem was in the control room and it works perfectly. I am using Cubase12 pro on an Apple using Monterey which I have just upgraded to. All is well thanks.
