Hi Cubasers and Moderators!
So, I have what may seem a silly question but - I have a license for Pro 13 which I use and abuse on the regular, BUT say I wanted to install Artist or Elements on another machine - can I do that? Does the Pro 13 license cover those two other editions?
Thank you!
You can use your Cubase Pro 13 license on up to 3 computers simultaneously, thanks to the new Steinberg Licensing system,
If for some reason you still want to try out Cubase Artist, you can hold the Alt key (Option if you’re on Mac) while Cubase is starting up to force it to run in Cubase Artist mode. Cubase Elements currently must be downloaded separately.

Hi,
There are no silly questions…
Cubase Pro and Artist are sharing the same executable. So you don’t have to install Cubase Artist, if you have Pro installed already. The same solutes for Cubase Elements, LE, AI.
So if you want to run Cubase Elements with Cubase Pro license, you have to install Elements in this case.
As had been mentioned already, you can always start all lower editions with your licence. So with Pro, you can start any edition: Artist, Elements, LE, AI. And you can also start all lower versions (using the same licensing system) i.e. Cubase 12 at this moment.
Add mentioned Alt is the modifier to call the dialog, where you choose the edition.
