i’m following tutorial drumkit in one minute by John Dorico
i can’t get my sim. to appear in my drumkit part like John is explaining
what am I missing?
it’s around 15:40-15:59 in the video
Bo, if you jump a minute earlier in this video, around 14:40, John describes, how to create a new „Playing Technique“.
The new sim. Playing Technique is just the graphical appearance of that word “sim.”.
ps.: I am sure John Barron will love your description him being “John Dorico”

I followed the video and made a new playing technique accordingly (playing technique small) etc. but I’m not able to drag or attached the sim to my slashed Drum Set part
I’m overlooking something
What exactly happens?
- method: click onto the playing technique in the right panel (the mouse arrow gets loaded with the technique). Drop it to the desired place.
Does this both work? or does only the first bit works? - method: select the destination bar first, then click onto the Playing Technique in the right panel. Do these two steps work?
This all can only be done in Write Mode, of course.
1.I can by clicking load my mouse with sim. but when placing it into the drum set slashed notation nothing happens.
I can place it all other places.
2. nothing happens
This limitation is explicitly mentioned in the video.
