Since I installed VST Live 2.1.3, VST Live 4.70 crashes on loading any project

Since I installed VST Live 2.1.3, VST Live 4.70 on the same machine crashes on loading any previously working project.
I tried reinstalling both programs and even upgrade to Live 2.14 with no good result.
VST Live 2 loads fine, but I want to use Live 1 until every bug remaining on version 2 is fixed. Can you help ?

same in my experience, I think it’s because both versions share the same file ini (configuration) on the user app folder.

Hi @Marc-Ambrosia,

we need a bit more information. You have a 1.4.70 project. This project will sometimes be loaded to 2.x, right? You don’t save it there, or? This workflow is working for you.

Now, after you have installed 2.1.3/2.1.4 you are not able to load your project in 1.4.70? You have to reinstall 2.1.2 and then it’s back working?

Every detail will help to reproduce the problem.

Hello Michael. Since the first 2.0 version, both live 1.4 and 2 coexisted on my gigging machine without interference.
I recently installed the 2.1.3 version to test it with a copy of my main project.
On a gig day a few days later, when I tried to load my original project in the 1.4.70 version of Live, the app crashed during the loading for the first time since the beginning.
I tried a few times to load the project, and other project copies. Each time the app screen vanished while loading.
I had to use the 2.1.3 version for the gig with some still quite jerky video tracks comparing to version 1.4.
Back at home I installed version 2.1.4.
Version 1.4 still crashing.
I uninstalled and reinstalled both versions.
Still crashing.
I then asked for help here :sweat_smile:

Sorry Michael, no recent crash dump was created.
I just tried one more time to load my original project in 1.4.70.915.
It worked twice, inexplicably. I didn’t save the project and tried again to load it and it crashed on loading ! no crash dump was created. I rebooted my machine, tried to load my project again and it succeed ! I saved the project with another name, tried to reopen Live 1.4.70.915 and it crashed again while loading the project. my last few attemps crahed as well… without crash dumpsVideo

… thank you very much for the file, @Marc-Ambrosia. We have a fix for your problem. Your (1.4.70) project was opened and saved (!) with Version 2. This newer version has a new Action category which will trouble VST Live 1. We are very sorry for that one.
