Slash Region and chord symbol appearance

I’m wondering if there’s a way to alter the way slash regions appear. There are a few options for rhythm slashes (standard, oversized, etc.) but so far I haven’t found equivalent options for the regular slash regions. I’m trying to match the look of a previous project (from Finale) and Dorico’s default rhythm slashes look a little different. They’re a different angle and little thicker (with the same font). I know this is a very small detail, but the client is particular and I need to find a way to get as close to the other project as possible.

On the same note, I’m wondering if in Dorico 6, there is an easier way to edit the appearance of specific chord symbols (such as the size of diminished circle or the triangle) independently of other variables. My understanding is that this has to be done individually per every root? As in, I would need to edit Cmaj7 and Bbmaj7 separately? Is there not a global way to do this?

If you can post an image, we can try to match it.

Yes, you’ve always been able to make a global change to these elements. In Library / Chord Symbols enter a symbol that has the element you want to change. Do not make any changes in this window! Instead click the element you want to change, then the Edit Component pencil which will take you to the Edit Chord Symbol Component window where you can now make a global change.

Change whatever you want in this window, including Scale and Y offset, then hit Ok to go back to the Project Default Chord Symbol Appearances window.

If you aren’t happy with the way it looks here, hit to Edit Component pencil again. Remember, do not make changes in the Project Default Chord Symbol Appearances window or they won’t be global. Once you are happy with that element, you can even delete the chord symbol override. You just needed to use it as a way to access the global definition of that element.

This is very helpful with the chord symbols, thank you!

I’ve attached the Finale slashes (which has chord symbols) and the Dorico slashes (blank). It’s pretty close, but they’re a little narrower and a little longer and more steep.

I should add that I’m using Rhapsody music and text fonts.
