Quick question: for some reason when I created slash regions on a piece the measures all became highlighted in green. I’ve not been able to figure out how to turn that off so they are just plan ol’ black and white. See attached screenshot, which is in engrave view.
The green highlighting is just a visual aid in the editing process, and it won’t affect the final print/export. Press and hold the key directly to the left of Z on your keyboard to temporarily Hide Invisibles, i.e. show the music as it will be printed.
Depends what kind of keyboard you have! On my Windows English keyboard, there’s a Shift key to the left of Z; the key to temporarily hide “invisibles” (non-printing elements) is \ (backslash) and on Mac it’s ` (backtick).
Thanks! The backtick key works as you say to hide the highlights temporarily. In the process of reading through your responses I just stumbled upon View-Highlight Slash Regions., which does what I needed as I don’t want this highlighting as a default. I knew it was something simple! But this temporary tip is very helpful as well, so I’ll keep that in the tool box. Thanks everyone.
And in future posts I’ll be sure mention the keyboard I’m using to save everyone some trouble and time.
