+1 I would like to see this feature; it’s critical for my arrangements. It was quite surprising to discover this limitation (curious if this was an intentional decision based on use case or just an edge case that wasn’t deemed priority).
Justification: In my concert band, players often switch chairs (today i play tpt 1, tomorrow tpt 2), so we play from condensed parts instead of everyone printing every part they might play. This also reduces the # of parts to “support” in our library, and reduces the amount of time I have to proofread.
But we have a lot of “open solo” sections with slashes/chords, which is not really possible due to this limitation.
Workarounds I have considered:
- Squeeze multiple players into voices of a single player.
- Empty the contents of all but 1 of the condensing parts, and make sure hide empty staves is enabled.
