Slashes and notes in one bar creates rests

Hi,

I am sorry, if this has been answered before.
I created a slash region.
Then shortened it in the middle of the bar.
Then I put in a note.
It creates a lot of rests.
How can I avoid this?

Select the bar. Go to Edit > Remove rests.
