It’s well known by users and developers that this area of Dorico needs reworking. It’s not an easy job and will need the right people to be available for enough time to get it done.

No, there’s no news on this issue: it will require a systematic reworking of the most complex positioning and collision avoidance code in Dorico, so it’s not a small job.
