Smart quotes, but not so smart for all languages?

Quick question. I am writing lyrics in swedish and the standard way of using quotes in this language is to NOT smarten them - start with (curly) ", and end with ".

Is there a way to get this? It really looks wrong with the english way in swedish,

If not, it would probably be a good idea to have an option for localization of lyrics.

No, I’m afraid at present there’s no way to keep your quotes “dumb”, but I will make a note of it and we’ll see what we can do.

“Half smart” just changing the straight quotes to curly would do the job for Swedish. Other languages surely have other standards.
