Smart voicing for Organ

Hi!

I write a lot for a Organ using Dorico, and with all of the suspensions, there can be an unwanted amount of voicings that accumulate. Can you please develop a smart voicings function in the drop-down that will consolidate voicings and intuitively place suspended notes. This would be applicable for all keyboard instruments, of course. Thank you again for all your help!

Can you describe exactly what you want a bit more? Do you mean you’ve got hundreds of Voices (e.g. Up-Stem 24)…?

Can you show some screenshot examples of what you mean. Perhaps there’s a better way of achieving the notated result?

Or are you talking about playback?

Yes, Dorico allows for multiple voices within the same staff (to accommodate keyboard writing… etc.) but these do not consolidate in the play tab. Please see the attached screenshot. Thank you for your time.

Why would one want the independent voice to consolidate in Play, where one assigns (or can assign) a different sound to each voice? If one can’t see the several voices, one cannot make assignments.

The place they consolidate is in Write mode, etc.

Unused voices will, I think, be removed if you close and re-open the document.

But if you’ve used those voices (and you have independent Voicing on in Play mode, then you need to see them all.
