Snap not working after edit in place

Steps to recreate

  1. Enable snap.
  2. Set grid type to “Bar”
  3. Create midi part
  4. Move midi part - snap works as expected
  5. Open part with “Edit in Place”
  6. Close “Edit in place”
  7. Move part. Part now snaps to quantise value rather than bar. Changing grid type makes no difference.

Can anyone help / confirm?

Actually I reported this issue a few months ago. This is really a major bug that should need to solve immediately.
I feel very uncomfortable working with midi edit.
Also note that this bug just happen with Cubase 9.5 (even the last update version) All the previsous version works good.

Glad it’s not just me, this is doing my head in… in order to snap to the bar in the project window I have to change the quantisation to 1/1. Really annoying

Cheers :slight_smile: Yes this update has fixed the issue, though I wasn’t aware there was an update, we’re usually notified in the hub but it still saying 9.5.1 as the most recent update.
