I have problems over and over again, watched the tutorial for vocal harmonic via variaudio by Dom Sigalas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgutrN1GTbU&t=300s
when I tried that, sometimes the scale assistant and snap pitch editing work and the harmonic layer is following promptly to the scale note for the backing vocal harmonies. But in my most cases, it refuses to work and failed to perform the correct harmonic notes.
I don’t quite know how to explain but the notes just statitcly move without following the correct harmonic key that it supposed to be as the scale assistant suggested. I use cubase 13 pro and I have the same problem since tried it on cubase 12 pro, it sucks. Have restarted it but didnt solved the problem.
Anyone can help me with this? Will be much appreciated.
Hi,
Do all your tracks follow the Chord Track, please?
hi,
thanks for the respond and how am I supposed to do that? in the tutorial shown in the link (from dom sigalas), looks like we don’t necessarily need the chord track right?
I am aware that there are method to use chord track and we can follow along the harmonics from it. but in this case, I want to use variaudio independently and straight to create harmonic backing vocals. did I missed some step?
Please refer to this tutorial:
Hi,
Did you get the other tracks by using Generate Harmony Voices in Cubase? If that was the case, the tracks are following the Chord track automatically.
hi again,
no I was get all the track straight from recording (tracking) process. then as the youtube video that I attached, If I’m not mistaken, it didnt use any chord track. looks like it came from audio track,
I saw some cubase user had the same problem like me. cause sometimes it works, but in many cases didn’t. That’s confused me, what do I missed.
