It finally got released, I got it, installed it, fired up Nuendo, added it… and it just hangs the DAW. Like the performance meter still updates but you can’t click on anything, total lockup. Closing it doesn’t actually close either, Nuendo hangs in the background (no window visible) and you have to kill it.
The fix, for me at least, was to run it once as the standalone app, which it doesn’t put in the start menu but is in program files. That will then start downloading all your expansion packs. Once that is done, shut it down, launch Nuendo, and it works well.
I suspect the download process is causing a hangup somehow.
Just an FYI if anyone else uses it (because it is a great synth).

Hey another big thanks from someone having the CB 13 hang with Synthmaster3. So appreciate your taking the time to post your solution. My problem was a “semi hang” in that CB would respond to mouse/kb OK but the instances of SM3 would not open or produce audio. Once I’d opened standalone as you described, I still had to delete those old instances and add new ones. Getting the add on packs loaded was bonus too; I thought I had these but found the install process confusing, and turns out I hadn’t.
I also like the synth. Good selection of sounds especially for the money.
Also of note: This SHOULD be fixed with Synthmaster 3.0.3 which just came out today. The bug with Cubase/Nuendo is explicitly mentioned in the patch notes.
