Am I right in saying that the mixer in the “one window only” can’t show inserts and effects and levels at the same time? You can see these at the same time if you open a separate mixer window.
Is this a feature or an opportunity?

If you enlarge the mixer section by dragging its upper border upwards, additional channel settings, like inserts and sends, appear.
You can switch the views between fader, inserts, and sends here:
In the windowed MixConsole you can see everything at once, correct.

Martin, howdy. I get the impression we’re on different pages. I’m speaking of the “Mixer in project window” mode.
You have to use the tabs on the left to see various things…but you can’t see them all at the same time…no matter how big you make the mixer.
I COULD be doing it wrong!
Ah sorry, I always confuse the forums when browsing new posts. I thought you were talking about Dorico. My fault. Johnny has given the proper answer.
I don’t primarily use Cubase…I just upgraded from version 6 to the newest because I do like Cubase’s audio engine compared to Logic.
Trust me. If you have an instrument that pumps enough DSP into one channel…Cubase makes different decisions than Logic does.
It “seems” to me that Cubase has the ability to deliver discreet audio streams where Logic kinda “meshes” the audio and then you get that combined audio data.
This is all me guessing and wishing for some new effects!
this has been requested already, it would be perfect for my big 4k monitor but Steinberg doesn´t care…
Just for clarification, what @Johnny_Moneto posted is called the “Lower Zone” that is in contrast to viewing any of the 4 mix consoles in a separate window.
Assuming you have them open, there are 3 zones when you view the Project Page. Left Zone, Right Zone and Lower Zone.
Thanks Greg,
I would say that it would be cool if the mixers were both the same. I think if they can do that-plus fix that really terrible Logic Focus Track implementation…I would be super happy!
I am just used to seeing everything in one window without having to click on so many things. It’s just confusing to us simpletons.
