Solo-ing FX Returns in Cubase Elements?

Looking for that elusive 100% wet signal without any of the original channel in it. I’ve read on here that the “Control Room” feature offers options, but for Elements users, this appears not to be the case.

Still, it shouldn’t be impossible. Is there a way I can set the FX channel to PFL?

The FX Channels in cubase should solo with just the FX! In Elements, they don’t?! That sucks.
There was a preference for this behaviour before. Check through the (insane and confusing) preferences panel.
