Solution: Mixer does not open after disconnecting the second monitor in Cubase 14 Elements

Hello! I’m sharing a solution to a problem I’ve been struggling with. Maybe someone will find it useful. Best regards, Marius Poland.:
Cubase 14 Elements full screen mixer visibility issue after disconnecting second monitor - solution

If you have encountered a problem where after previously connecting a second monitor and moving the mixer to it, Cubase 14 Elements stops opening the mixer window (F3) correctly, launching instead a blank window and potentially freezing the program - here is a workaround:

:white_check_mark: Solution:

Reconnect the second screen that previously displayed the mixer.

Start Cubase and open the mixer (F3).

Drag the mixer back to the main screen or close it.

Disconnect the second screen.

The mixer should now open correctly on the main screen, without hanging.

:brain: Why does this happen? Cubase “remembers” the position of windows. If the mixer is closed on a non-existent screen, the program tries to start it there - which leads to errors.

Hello!
Cubase should check the monitor situation as well as the window bounds when saving positions. It’s easy enough, even I can do it for my own programming.
