[SOLVED] Cubase 13 -- want transparent background

Hi, I just upgraded to Cubase Pro 13 and it opened without the transparent background that shows Windows desktop. Is there any way to get the transparent background back? I really liked it. Thanks.

There is not

I wish to understand what you mean by transparent background.

What, specifically, was transparent in your previous version of Cubase?

what version was it?

Hi Steve, thanks for getting back to me. Here’s a screen capture of what I mean. The menu bar is at the top of the screen then below that it’s transparent with the Windows desktop icons showing, then the panels I want open. I hope I can get Cubase 13 to work this way. Thank.s

Why not un-maximize the entire Cubase window and make it as small as you want to, so you can see as much of your desktop (or other apps) as you desire?

p.s. Cubase 13 now works more like other Windows apps, so the menu stays with the Project window.

The behaviour you show is non-standard on Windows and was deliberately changed to more standard behaviour in version 13. If you want desktop visibility, either reduce the size of the Cubase window or toggle desktop visibility (Win + D).
