My ‘Download assistent’ has stopped working a few weeks ago. After Upgrade to v.14 to day still no luck. I have followed the support tips and downloaded and new istallation of several files as they recommend there, restarted my comp, several times, but stil no luck, as you can see in the pic. I have downloaded the C14 version from the download page here in the support site, activated it and it’s working as expected. The Download assistent is even still not working; failes on anything I try.

C14 requires a new version of the Download assistant. Have you downloaded it before you tried?
I noticed there was an additional install that occurred in the background for the Aria download engine when i grabbed C14 earlier. I’d imagine that part of the download module hasn’t installed correctly for you perhaps?
It manages the downloads, so an integral part.
SDA is a pile of dingos kidneys. Better to download from the Steinberg site. (Scroll down to get past all the “We recommend” nonsense.)

I’m getting exactly the same issue. I manually reinstalled Download Assistant to be sure, and guess what, I still get the issue. I can download other elements from within DA, it is just the Cubase 14 app that fails!

Agreed. I note that Steinberg claims: “Downloading via the Steinberg Download Assistant is faster, more convenient and more reliable.”
No, it isn’t - it’s a PITA.

As I wrote in my first post: I have downloaded all the files the support tells me to do:
Download assistent,
activation manager,
Library manager,
etc,
and intalled the updates of these. Stil I get the pic you see in my first post.

I have 1 comp with Win 11, and 2 with win 10.
All 3 was ok before the Dorico 5.1.60 updates, after that I have had several problems. The Download problem is just one of them.

I did exactly the same as you, thinking that some of the files might be corrupted, but nothing I have done seems to work.
Has Steinberg made any comment about this, because it seems that a good number of customers are having problems?

Just updated DA 11/7, Spectrallayers 11.0.4 failed both times, trying website.

The Download Assistant is defintely a mess right now and needs a fix.

Allmost all of a sudden, now everything seems to be ok.
What have I done?
I downloaded and reinstalled every file that Steinberg recommends oln thjis support page:

Klicked the OS button for my comp (Windows) and followed the intruction. I had to repeat the process 3 times before DA started to work. After third attemt I had to klick the button in DA that said ‘failed’ (the button said ‘retry’, whjich I did, and HURRAY!

It started working for me too just out of the blue today.
I still get errors when I click on a product but now I can download things again.
