I have a Montage that I’m finally learning my way around (this is a deep synth). My GF has an ipad air2 so I am considering the cubasis app. Can these be used together? I specifically want to know if montage is able to act as the soundcard, sending audio directly through the USB port like the MX49 is now advertising. I’m hoping that this feature is also available in the montage but I can’t find any answers on web search.

Thanks for your message.
While MONTAGE grants class compliant compatibility and provides to send 16 and receive 3 channels of 24 bit/44.1 kHZ digital audio, same as full Midi support of 16 channels via USB, Cubasis testing results are not available at this moment.
Since we’re not equipped with the great Montage ourselves at this moment, I’ve dropped a note to our Yamaha colleagues. Will keep you updated once I have received a feedback.

Yamaha performed a few quick checks with Cubasis with the following results:
MIDI IN/OUT: Supported
AUDIO IN Main Monitor/ Digital In/Assign Monitor: Supported
AUDIO OUT 1 ~ 24: Supported
